Jacqueline A. Skillin 1930–1993

Jacqueline A. Skillin, age 62, a resident of Fairfield, Ohio, and a former longtime resident of Naples, Florida, passed away on April 12, 1993, at her son’s residence. She was remembered by family and friends as a devoted mother whose life reflected resilience, care, and quiet strength.

Jacqueline was born on July 9, 1930, in Winthrop, Maine, the daughter of Clyde Raymond Skillin and Charlotte Mae (Adams) Skillin. She spent her early years in Maine, where strong family ties and a sense of place shaped her life.

Over the years, Jacqueline lived in several communities, including Naples, Florida, where she resided for eighteen years, before settling in Fairfield, Ohio. Wherever she lived, family remained the center of her world.

She is survived by her three sons: John Elcik of Fairfield, Ohio; James Elcik of Creel, Maryland; and Jeffrey Elcik of Annapolis, Maryland; as well as six grandchildren, all of whom were a source of pride and joy to her.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 17, 1993, at the Hall Funeral Home in Casco, Maine. Memorial contributions were directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, reflecting the family’s gratitude for compassionate care during her final days.
