Annie and Elizabeth were twins. All of the children except Michael were born in Durham, Androscoggin County, Maine. Michael was born in Lisbon Falls, Androscoggin County, Maine.
Both paternal great-grandparents died in Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine. John Elsik died on 24 May 1941, and Mary Pelcarsky died on 23 August 1936.
Notes written by Sylvia Adams referenced burial at Saint Cyril Cemetery. These notes ultimately led to the discovery of their gravestone and revealed a surprising connection between the Elsik and Ilcik families.
