Marie E. Elcik Dereche, age 41, passed away on Saturday evening at a local convalescent home following a long illness.
She was born in Durham, Maine, and had lived in Hartford, Connecticut, for the past twenty years.
Marie was the wife of Joseph Dereche, with whom she resided at 25 Dorothy Street in Hartford.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Mrs. Anna Evanisko of Lisbon Falls, Maine.
Funeral services were held at the E. G. Fisette Funeral Home, 20 Sisson Avenue, Hartford, with a solemn Requiem Mass celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Burial followed at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery.
