Edna Marie Grap, age 84, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Westminster, Maryland, passed away on September 3, 2020, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover.
She was born on November 26, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Joseph Riston and Agnes Riston. Edna was the wife of the late John J. Grap Sr.
Edna was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Westminster, Maryland. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a central joy in her life.
She is survived by her son, John Grap and his wife Doreen of Hanover, Pennsylvania; her daughter, Terri Elcik and her husband James of Hampstead, Maryland; her grandchildren, Stacey Duryea and her husband Dennis, Lauren Portell and her husband Matthew, Christopher Elcik and his wife Devon, Julianne Grap, and Ryan Grap; and her great-grandchildren, Emery Duryea and Bria Duryea.
She is also survived by her sister, Sally Rosenberg and her husband Bob.
A private service was held on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at the Eline Funeral Home in Hampstead, Maryland, with Pastor Andy Vineberg officiating. Interment followed at Meadow Branch Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Edna’s memory were suggested to the American Heart Association or to Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
