Those are questions we may never know the answers to. I believe that many families had mass immigration to the US because of persecution and other reasons. Immigrants founded our country. There are many more Slovak families that settled in Lisbon Falls beside the Elciks.

It makes perfect sense separating John Elsik and John Ilcik the way you’ve done. It’s much easier to understand. You’ve had more time to spend organizing the two families. I also understand it better now.
I don’t have a picture of the house, but I know the family picture you have shows the porch, or should I say the steps of a house in the background. Gene Elcik told me that picture was taken at their house. He may have some pictures of the house. You could ask him.

That’s so awesome. It sounds like it was a beautiful ceremony, and the happy couple looks so HAPPY!!!! You’re now officially a father-in-law and Pam a mother-in-law. I’m so happy for all of you!!
