Ernest T. McClanahan, a former Rosholt resident, died Monday at the age of 89. He had been living in Franksville, near Racine, but recently entered the Veterans Administration Hospital at Tomah, where he died.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Rosholt, with the Rev. Howard Stendahl officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Rosholt.
Friends may call after 7 o’clock this evening at the Voie Funeral Home, Iola.
Mr. McClanahan was born in Galveston, Texas, Feb. 4, 1889, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tyson McClanahan.
He lived in Rosholt for a number of years. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Nelson-Kaminski Post 509, American Legion, Rosholt.
He was married June 10, 1921, to Genevieve Brekke, who died March 10, 1973.
Surviving are two sons, Russell of Franksville and Roland of Shelbyville, Indiana, and five grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
