Mrs. Marie E. Elcik Dereche, 41, wife of Joseph Dereche of 25 Dorothy Street, died Saturday evening at a local convalescent home after a long illness.
She was born in Durham, Maine, and had lived in Hartford for 20 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Mrs. Anna Evanisko of Lisbon Falls, Maine.
The funeral will be held at the E. G. Fisette Funeral Home, 20 Sisson Avenue, Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., with a solemn requiem mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
