Hello John,
Well, I did some house cleaning, and I found my dad’s Y DNA certificate. See attachment.
And I also made a mistake in thinking you were on my Autosomal DNA. I remembered you have an Ancestry DNA test kit. I had FTDNA, so I have ordered a testing kit from Ancestry.com. They have a great offer of having a subscription for $1.00 for three months so, that sounds GREAT!!! Then we will see if we are autosomal relatives.
Attached is my Grandmother’s ship record and grandfather’s ship record to Ellis Island. It was quite a hunt. My Uncle, who has since passed, helped me. Since these people are uneducated, their names were spelled wrong, but Uncle and I figured things out.
My poor Uncle fell backward from his cellar steps in CT just a week past his 90th birthday. Very sad. I do miss him.
So I will be keeping in touch. I cannot get any more of my father’s Y DNA, so through what we have and mutations, yes, we are distant relatives. My Grandmother and grandfather were also 6th cousins.
