Cousins, etc.,

My earlier post mentioned my Dad’s career in the Navy that took us on world adventures. My brothers and I lived in Japan (where Jeff was born), the Philippines, and Guam. When we came home it was always to 45 Davis Street.

We loved being with all our aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Doing the family tree has identified some questions that I never knew to ask. I have two Aunts that I don’t know anything about. It is understandable that I don’t remember Eleanor H. Elick as she passed in 1956, just four years after I was born. But I feel I should know something about Mary D. Elick (1923-1998). I don’t.

Can anyone help me with information on either Aunt?

Please and thank you.

45 Davis Street

Beth,

I found the house with the 21 Davis Street location, but Zillow says the house is in Lisbon, not Lisbon Falls. Did Lisbon annex it?

I know it is the right house as Zillow has 25 pictures.

It was worth the search as the pictures remind me of coming “home” to 45 Davis Street.

I remember how comfortable the upstairs bed was. I don’t know what kind of mattress it was, but manufacturers don’t make beds like that anymore. You sink into the mattress, and the covers were incredibly warm.

I remember custom kitchen cabinets installed during one of our all too infrequent visits.

Finally, I remember there being a chicken coop—no pictures of it. ?
