Beth,
My brothers and I favored the competition: Luiggi’s Pizzeria in Lewiston. Of course, we went there for Italian subs every time we came to Maine. I think they also served pizza. I never tried it. ? I never mess with the best. I go to Longhorns for chicken. For a decade, I would always choose their Chicken Fingers with Prairie Dust. Lately, I order Chicken Parmesan. I’m told they have great steaks. I will never know.
All this talk of food, particularly Moxie and Lokše, is killing me.
And as hard as it is for me to believe it, until a few weeks ago, I didn’t know there was a connection between Moxie and Lisbon Falls. Who knew? I used to order it online to prove to my friends that such an elixir, predating Coke, existed.
I told Nancy during our call that I’m always the last to know.
About a year ago, I needed help for a homeless guy who passed out on the sidewalk near a busy road. To get help, I went into a nearby business to ask someone to call 911 for me, which they did. Later that day I’m sharing the experience with Pam and Michelle, and they want to know why I didn’t use my cell phone. My response: “I thought the answer should be obvious; you can’t call 911 from a cell phone. Isn’t that why we keep our landline?” Who knew they fixed that problem? No one told me. [The worst part is the fix has been around for years. Ouch!]
Did you know that Jack’s parents were among the last people in the country to have a party phone line? True. Ask Jack.
