Name That Author

February 5, 2021, 9:11 AM

Beth & Nancy,

Let’s play a game.  Since I have no musical ability, I suggest “Name that Author” rather than “Name that Tune.”

Here are three pages of a document. Can you name the author?

I don’t have a clue. Don’t recognize the handwriting either. Answer or a clue.

Team,
If I am correct (Yes, I could be wrong, but let’s not go there so quickly. ), the document contains clues.
However, in the true spirit of giving, I will give three clues. One, it appears to be a speech rather than a letter. Note, for example; there is no signature.  Second, there could be a vague reverence to the place where the speech was given and who the audience might have been. Third, why might I have sent this to Beth?
Gee, I hope I’m right. If not, I will look really foolish. Lol
By-the-way clues are not like wishes. They rarely come in threes.

Games

February 7, 2021, 1:00 AM

Beth & Nancy,

In Jeopardy, one gets to choose their category provided they ask it in a question. Would you like more hunting questions?

Since I asked the question, I choose hunting. There are two identified photos in this category.  The winner (first to submit an answer that we all agree to use) gets to pick the next category and receive a surprise family photo. They may choose to share or hoard their prize until the eBook gets published. November 3rd, all mysteries will be resolved. Well, not all, but a lot. Really! Lol.

Get ready.

The pictures are attached. May the games begin.

John, IV

P.S. Jeff is ineligible to compete. He is being copied, so he knows what I’m doing with the cache of photos and documents he gave me.

P.P.S. Lol. The game master gets penalized if an answer is not possible because the picture crept out of a mouse hole and didn’t belong to us.  In this case, two prizes will be awarded.

Tell the Truth

Wed 2/10/2021 2:47 AM

Perhaps you both remember “To Tell the Truth,” a game show where three people, all of who claim to be someone, are questioned by a panel of four celebrities. One of them is the real person, while the other two are just impostors. The panelists take turns questioning the people about their subject and then try to guess which of the three people is the truth-teller.

My version of “To Tell the Truth” is different. Here the host (me) admits he is not 100% sure who the guest is. I provide at least three photos, and my panel of two celebrities (Beth & Nancy) are charged with identifying the guest.

I have prepared two “To Tell the Truth” challenges for you: individual #1 and individual #2.  Bonus points go to the celebrity that identifies other people in a photo. Both challenges have that possibility.

Let the games begin.
