Beth,
Thank you for the background story on Emma Daignault. The pictures I have of Emma on my flash drive came about because of good, solid detective work. Seriously. Using Facebook, I have learned to investigate the relationships between my contacts and other contacts. I didn’t have a clue as to who she is and how she’s connected to us. I knew she was important. And now I know why.
Using Facebook this way has helped me locate family and friends. My first attempt to do this kind of investigation was in my desire to find Jack’s sister, my cousin, Nancy. Jack put me up to it without realizing it. Only after I exhausted all my resources (cousins) and Google tricks did he fess up, “Nancy doesn’t use Facebook.” If she had, and I didn’t find her; I would have had to hang up my spurs as a researcher.
