Re: Join Us in Preserving Our Family’s Heritage

Beth,

Pam is borrowing her Sisters’ Mercedes convertible rendering one half of our garage unavailable. The solution? We have a $225-month storage unit. I’d rather buy a car. But that’s not the issue; we have a Jeep that no one drives. Woe is me.

Lol, lol, lol,

[I should have added that Pam is using Kathy’s car because Kathy won a 2-year lease on a new one. This the second time Kathy has won a car. If only her luck would extend to the casino. – Editor ?]

Judy,

The Lake sounds wonderful as does the idea of a 5th wheeler.

I’ve teasingly told Pam that we should have a “Tiny” house. I have been following the “Tiny House” movement for years. Pam hasn’t warmed to the idea. I’m attaching two pictures of our garage which may have something to do with her reluctance. We even have a 10×20 ft off-site storage unit. Lol.

You have been wonderful in teaching me about DNA. Anything you decide to do with our family DNA information has my blessing.

Hi John,

I get all confused when we send replies and the emails pile up. Just my little “pet peeve”.
I also have another “pet peeve”. When people are out walking, they don’t walk on the sidewalk but on the road. The glare from the sun sometimes, “hides” them. UGH!!!

OOOOHHH!! Your garage is some mess. Do your kids get after you guys??
My husband is a “hoarder” and I am constantly after him. He collects cars and I’m thankful we don’t have extra property. We would live like those hilly-billies on TV. I tell both his adult sons, (we did not have children together), that THEY have to clean the mess. NOT ME. I will take a photo soon.

Every weekend he washes ALL the cars.

John, I’m just soooo lazy since I retired 4.5 years ago, and getting worse. I need a fire, you know where!!!!

Trump 2020 YES…………

Cannot wait for the debates.

All the Best,

Judy

Re: Genealogy Blog for MyCousins Family Tree Contributors

John,

It’s definitely an undertaking. I truly appreciate all which you and Auntie Beth are doing.

I hope that my nieces and nephews (and now great niece & nephew!) will appreciate all that is being done sometime in the future.

My project, as of late, has been finishing up scanning pictures that I took from my grandparents and trying to label them as best as I can.  My grandmother was not good at all about labeling the back of the pictures.  A lot of pictures I couldn’t even peel off the sticky photo pages!  I will also be downloading all our family pictures to flash drives for my siblings.  Unfortunately, out of us 4 I definitely am the most interested and care about carrying on the family legacy, etc.

Sometimes I am way too over-sentimental and keep too much stuff.  It’s been hard for me since moving to downsize all the stuff I brought with me.  Seriously, do I need to keep that paper copy of my junior high yearbook?

My husband wants to clean out the rest of the ‘garage’ this week with the remaining boxes.  That will be extremely tough because it’s many of our antiques we’ve gotten from family members we don’t have the storage for.  It’s tough because the antique business is so oversaturated, and not enough market for them. If it weren’t for people before us saving stuff like this, we would never have the museums and such.

Much looking forward to delving into what the 2 of you are creating!

All the best -becky
